The song in this video is Johnny Cash Don't take your guns to town. If you don't like this kind of music, then don't watch the video or turn the volume down. I hope you choose the second choice. Thank you. What I am drawing is ANT. I put up the screenshot of him at the very end of the video that I used to compare. I grew up listening whether I wanted to or not, to old fashioned Country music. Especially on camping trips and when there was a blackout, my Granddad took out his tapes (they were in a black cassette tape case, a Time life series of Cassette tapes that I don't remember him buying, just owning, in their motor home or camp trailer)and played them. We complained, and then realized we just had to tolerate it. Later we got walkmans and that solved that problem. I kind of like that kind of music now. I especially like the songs I don't know the technical term, but the ones that tell a story, the story telling songs. I only can take it in small doses though. The music I listen to the most is Alternative Rock. I listen to yahoo radio daily instead of regular radio and I'll put up a tutorial video about that someday. My Granddad when he's in a good mood (which is most of the time, don't think he yells constantly) he likes (and insists) that I call him Sue. He also calls me Sam. It makes me feel special and it's incredibly awkward when someone else calls me Sam or him Sue. I have actually gotten Christmas gifts with From: Sue To: Sam on them. He sings sometimes "there goes Sam, sweeping the floor smoking on a Cigarette" to me when we are talking, or when I am just walking by him on a room. Wherever he got that song I have no idea, made it up perhaps? Does anyone know that song? Comment below or email me if you do! One more thing that I was reminded of about my Granddad lately, He used to wake me up and cook me breakfast in the morning. It wasn't the best breakfast but I am glad now I didn't complain. Anyway, when I would get the sniffles, or when it was just getting to be the fall/winter time, he would make sure I would either have a sliced up orange (not a peeled orange even though he did at first, but an orange that was sliced with a knife peel and all, vertically and served on a plate) or a glass of Orange juice during that time. I had to have it to get over my cold, or to prevent one! 'tears of joy' :) And about my drawing, well I felt like drawing a picture this morning, and I wanted to show you how I do it. I will try to get a better shot next time I do a video like this I know for people that don't draw they have a blast watching. Maybe a stop motion simple drawing? Hmmmmm. This is ANT (comedian, Celebrity Fit Club, Last Comic Standing) I drew him before but I wasn't 100 percent satisfied and he's a good model. This is from the video he made reading the Colony Creed. I think this turned out good (I'm going to post better shots tomorrow on his blog and on my flickr the ones I just did were not good) I am contemplating sending this to him? Hmmm. If anyone drew me other then myself (I have done so in the past several times) I wouldn't like it. I am insecure and it would be a turnoff all around. So everyone, don't draw me ok? Thank you lol :) I have been drawing since I have been in 2nd grade or there abouts. Up until I was 17 I wanted to be a cartoonist. Matt Groening was my role model. But when I was 17 I talked my way out of it, Even though when I was about 20 I wanted to apply to a particular private art school but I didn't my Grandma discouraged me. She said it would be a waste of money (50 grand for 4 years) and she said there is no promise you'll get your money's worth out of it. I was so mad I gave up signing up for the college. I was told when I was a Senior in HS that I have developed my own style and you usually don't do that until your in your 40's or thereabouts. I get discouraged but I am trying to teach myself to embrace that part of myself again. It's hard, but I think I want to draw portraits as a financial hobby someday in the next 6 months or so. But I don't want to dive in unless I am 100 percent sure with myself. Anyway see you guys all later!

Dec 11, 2007 - Yeah, finding a picture to draw is hard though some pictures are harder then they look to draw. Like if it's at an odd angle, the perspection you know.

Dec 21, 2007 - some people have more hidden emotion as well that makes it harder, I like forshortening.

Dec 22, 2007 - Thank you for commenting skayc1. This picture was hard because he was frowning but he was happy. It was like a serious, happy face. That is something I have to work on. I felt the final piece was a little flat but finished.
