The Slime Show

This is a TV show that me Badboy Breeze (Breeze Aubrey) and The Bat Poet (Joey Bowker) did from the late '94 till '04. The Slime Show was originally called "The Bat Poet Show" because Joey Bower started it back in late '93. A year later I came on just as a cameraman at public access and Joey, at first, needed a cameraman because his regular cameramen was out of town. I agreed and soon Joey and I became fast friend. I also did an interview in his apartment the night that I was to shoot his video. That was also the day of my other self Badboy Breeze a comic road warrior from the future. I knew that I had to get some sort of costume for the show so when I got home that night the first thing that I did was go threw my old Halloween makeup kit. I found some black lipstick and some clown make up. I then remembered that this is how KISS started and since I am a big fan of theirs and a big fan of the 80's and metal years (not hair bands). I grabbed my leather jacket that I had for about a year and put white electrical tape on the front side of the leather jacket. This represented, (To me) Pease because in some way Badboy Breeze is a badass but he is vary peaceful, in a playful type of way. I also kept the leather hat not for a biker reasons but because I think it was cool, to me, at that time. Joey still wanted to have the show called "The Bat Poet Show" for a while and since I was the "new guy" on the show I agreed and for the next four years it was called "Bat Poet Show". Later I asked Joey what can we name the show now and he told me "The Slime Show", I asked him why Slime Show and he said because no one really knows what goes into slime and what it's purpose is but it is nasty is a good was. So from that day on it was Slime Show. As the show went on we did hit by some bad patches. My father had died and I had to go and move to Statesboro GA, where my mother lives, and try to make the best of college. I attended college and when I had some vacation off I managed to come up to Nashville and do some shows with Joey. But soon my grades were falling and after failing two colleges (one a Teck school) I came to the conclusion that I needed to get back to Nashville and do the Slime Show. When I came back to Nashville I was living with Joey in his one bedroom apartment Joey would often take me to some thrift stores to get a bargain on some stuffed animals that he would use in the show. One day he came into the studio with a hand puppet that was a frog. He asked me what could I do with this and I responded with a voice that sounded like a drunken Kermit the frog. Joey began to laugh his ass off and The Krismas Drunk Frog was born. As the years went by so did our popularity the Show was on the front cover a local news paper, the e-mails were coming in and most of them were from stoners and artist, who said that our show was different form most but they loved it even though the skits were vary weird. We became the show everybody wanted to watch in Nashville and sometimes even some people from other states saw us wile they were visiting Nashville, and made video copies of our Show. We even got an offer to pitch the show to a major network but that fell threw. But as like in life all good things do come to an end and it started by a personal dispute between Joey and me. (The detail I can't discuss because they are vary personal) Needless to say Joey told me that I could do the Slime Show w/ the rest of the cast (Salina and Sam Booka) but public access , who never said anything to us for the ten years that we were on the air, had the last word and ended the production on the Slime show for good. Public access, in Nashville, was not run that well but like the gentleman that I am I agreed to the terms and shut down the production of The Slime Show on a technicality. I did ask to speak with the Executive Producer who was in charge of public access but he didn't say anything on the person who informed him about this small problem. There was only one person who could have done this to me and that was Joey, thus ending our friendship forever.... maybe. That was 2004 and the show is still in reruns but no new shows of The Slime Show have been made since. Joey has tried with going back and doing " The Bat Poet Show" again but the responses have been minimal. Now it is 2007 and I have just put the finishing touches on "The Best of the Slime Show" with my new editing bay and I have put a new spin on this one with sound FX and better edit cuts. But the big question is will the Slime Show come back with the Bat Poet and Breeze barring the hatchet...not likely.
